Gourd Bird House Workshop

In this class you will learn all the bases of creating your own gourd bird house with a sunflower pattern. Several cleaned, prepared, painted gourds of different colors will be available for you to paint the sunflower with a dragon fly or bee on it. Different types of finishes will be discussed, and a top coat for decorative use will be applied. All supplies are included and even beginners will have fun completing this project in this three hour class. Cost is $35 per person.
Judi Fleming has been doing gourd folk art and fine art for nearly 30 years and loves to share her knowledge of this versatile vegetable. She is currently the President of the North Carolina Gourd Society and 1st Vice President of the American Gourd Society. She teaches gourd classes all along the east coast and has won many best of shows at gourd festivals, fairs and fine art shows. Registration required.
